The Medieval Festival of Ibiza

The Medieval Festival of Ibiza, which will take place on 9, 10 and May 11, 2009, is a cultural and leisure where one expects more than 100,000 visitors in three days.

The streets of the historic turn to find the way they looked in medieval times, there are over 500 years ago. Princes and princesses, but jugglers, clowns, magicians, puppets roam the streets of Ibiza which are installed for the occasion, craft markets, providing a very special atmosphere. The Medieval Festival is traditionally held the second weekend of May in Eivissa (Ibiza's old name) in the Dalt Vila citadel overlooking the bay of the city and houses within the cathedral, castle, the house of the council, several small palaces and museums.

Ibiza, known for its nightlife, also comes alive during the day Medieval Festival during which many concerts and other performances are held.
