Mauritius ... dream destination for many of us in search of natural splendor.

The island is full of tourists at any time of the year. It is more or less difficult to get there: south of Africa and Madagascar near, we must make a sacred journey to get there, but it's worth it, because Mauritius is a paradise on earth and has a relaxing and natural landscape. Ideal for those who want to escape for a few weeks to get away from stress customary in their country of residence!

The beaches in this archipelago are relaxing, the sand is fine and full of fresh coconuts. A real dream landscape! Not only the landscape but its inhabitants, very hospitable, will be happy to guide you or inform you if necessary. However, as in every country in which you are a foreigner, always pay attention to false guides! Better again go to the tourist office or travel agency and learn about the route you want to do or ask them to offer you one.

- Visit Mauritius

Once in Mauritius, it is almost impossible to get bored! Do not hesitate to cross the city using public transportation, you will feel "more Mauritian" and this will help you when shopping ... (no vendors will tax you too!) You will discover and learn as quickly culture.
Good to know: The Mauritian speak up to 3 or 4 languages!

Be careful though, crossing the street, people drive very dangerously. If you're surfing, check, the island is full of very dangerous places for such activities. Personally I would advise you to visit the island to Cerfs, the capital Port Louis, Pamplemousses Garden, Earth to seven colors, the beach of Mont Choisy.

Allow about 5 days to visit the island at your leisure. When shopping for souvenirs never forget to negotiate! You can lower the price from 10 to 20%

- Eat and stay in Mauritius during your stay

Unless you stay at a friend or family member, the hotels are cheap, and most of them have an acceptable comfort.
However, there are hotels much more expensive and upmarket. Hotels called "small-budgets" are modest 3 star hotel, and I recommend the "Sands" in the region of Wolmar.

The food in Mauritius is more or less tropical and fishing is the main activity. Thus, shellfish and other crustaceans and fish make wonderful food very delicious.

You will find a wonderful variety of fish, whiting for carp through the trevallies and Barrois, these fish can be smoked or prepared or seasoned with curry and ginger. A real treat!

You will find in most restaurants and rougaille chutney. I highly recommend these trimmings. You can also try the curries (venison or beef) or the faratas which are like traditional pancakes.
